Langtang lies just south of the Tibetan border and 30 kilometers north of Kathmandu Valley, where it is the third most popular trekking destination after Annapurna and Everest. The region has become known worldwide ever since British climber Bill Tilman called it “the most beautiful valley in the world”. The region has over 70 glacial valleys and is dominated by the Langtang and Ganesh Himal mountain ranges.
