Discover the beautiful high alpine valley surrounding by snowy peaks and glaciers

Langtang Trek

The lovely Langtang Valley Trek, which offers snow-capped mountains and glaciers in just a few days, is the shortest teahouse trek in Nepal besides the Annapurna Base Camp trek.

You may get away from the city into the forested valley dominated by an amazing mountain of Langtang Himalaya in a short amount of time, making it an excellent choice for individuals seeking a week-long trek near the capital city.

The trek starts in Syabrubesi, goes through the Langtang Khola pass in Langtang National Park, passes by 2015 earthquake damage sites around Langtang settlement before climaxing at 3870m at Kyanjin Gompa. You’ll see snow-capped mountains of Langtang Lirung (7246m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), and Gang Chhenpo (6388m), learn about the distinct culture of the Tamangs, observe yaks and wild horses grazing in the higher reaches, and most importantly help to restore local people’s life after the 2015 earthquake.

Season

  • Trekking during spring (Mar-May) you see many flowers bloom, especially the rhododendron flowers make Langtang Valley trek a highlight during springtime.
  • In Autumn (Sep-Nov), you’ll have some of the best views in the world. This is the ideal month for hiking this area.
  • Mid-winter trekking is still doable, but it might not be able to cross to Helambu via the Laurebina La, Ganja la. These passes might be covered by thick snow and lodges close at higher elevations.
